Having lived in Rancho Santa Fe, California for more than two decades, Zach Weinger has become an expert on the city and its surrounding areas, which is why he is proud to have been serving his hometown—along with the surrounding communities of Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, La Jolla, Mission Hills, North Park, and Downtown San Diego—for the past six years.
His time residing in the area has made him an excellent real estate agent—one with an individualized compendium of knowledge for each community. From the upscale communities to the laid-back beach towns, the historical gems to outdoor oases, Zach has an encyclopedic knowledge of them all. He frequently draws upon this information to help serve his clients, meeting their specific needs.
So how did Zach get his start in the business? It started at home, with parents who had a passion for building and renovating properties. He enjoyed watching them work, which ignited his initial love for real estate. Zach has lived in more than 20 houses throughout his life, each one bringing something different to the table and developing his eye for design.
Zach studied hard at the University of San Diego, eventually earning his B.A. in Communications. During a semester at sea, he gained a global perspective and was later awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Jason Barry of Barry Estates in Rancho Santa Fe became Zach’s first real mentor and recruited him to join his real estate team. Fast-tracked under Jason’s guidance, Zach dove headfirst into the industry and managed to hold his own as a competent negotiator and a compassionate, personable voice for his clients. His very first listing closed for a staggering $8.5 million. Since then, Zach has worked on hundreds of transactions in the luxury market and ran point on many of them.
Zach’s clients consistently describe him as professional, tenacious, attentive, and a fantastic communicator. In 2019, he achieved an enormous and impressive milestone by negotiating one of the largest sales of the year—and in the history of San Diego—when he sold a beachfront estate in Del Mar for $22 million.
Zach’s clientele base is large and varied, although he primarily works within the luxury sphere. His clients continue to work with him time and time again because, quite simply, he gets the job done! He cares deeply about each person he helps, treating them like family rather than a transaction.
One of Zach’s favorite parts of his profession is the fact he often maintains friendships with his clients long after the work is done. This attitude is an integral part of what makes Zach so successful and is a testament to how he goes above and beyond for every client.
When he’s not helping buyers and sellers realize their real estate dreams, Zach can often be found enjoying an active lifestyle with outdoor activities such as beach volleyball, hiking, and snowboarding. An avid traveler, he has explored 29 countries and counting so far, and he also considers himself a total foodie. No matter what he’s doing, one thing is for certain: Zach’s zest for life is tireless and contagious.
