Lying between Downtown and the waterfront, Little Italy was long home to Italian-American families employed in the city’s tuna fishing industry. is a great spot to start the day with globally influenced breakfast and brunch dishes and alcohol-infused coffees. Date Street also hosts the Little Italy Mercato Farmers’ Market
every Saturday morning. Vendors at the farmers’ market sell fresh produce, poultry, meat, eggs, fish, bread, and olive oil.
Things to Do
is one of the best ballparks in Major League Baseball. Home to the MLB’s San Diego Padres, Petco Park combines some of the best sightlines in baseball with dramatic views of San Diego’s skyscrapers framing the field. Petco Park also hosts a variety of other sporting events plus concerts from some of the biggest names in music. Artists to have performed at Petco Park since it opened in 2004 include The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, and Metallica.Seaport Village

is a huge four-day pop culture celebration that has being attracting crowds since 1970. Comic-Con has grown larger and more diverse over the decades and is widely considered to be the largest convention of its kind in the world. Along with many representatives from the world of comic books, the convention features panel discussions, seminars, and workshops with Hollywood stars and video game companies.
